prepare for your reading.
A reading is a personal experience, and taking a few moments to prepare beforehand can help you feel more present, open, and connected during our time together.
I typically conduct readings by phone. While I’m channeling, I generally have my eyes closed so I can quiet outside distractions and focus on the messages and impressions I receive from Spirit and guides, including loved ones who have passed. Because of this, being on the phone allows me to focus fully on the connection rather than on what I can see.
Set Your Intention
Before your reading, I encourage you to set your intention for our time together. This doesn’t need to be formal or complicated. Simply take a quiet moment and connect in whatever way feels natural and meaningful to you.
You may pray or speak to God, Jesus, Buddha, Spirit, your guides, the Universe, your loved ones who have passed—or simply to something greater than yourself. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Your beliefs are yours, and they are always respected.
Setting your intention is simply your way of opening yourself to the experience and asking that the messages, connections, insights, and guidance meant for you be communicated through me during our reading. You might ask that what comes through be for your highest knowing and received with clarity, love, and purpose.
Make a Few Notes Before We Talk
I also recommend having a notebook nearby and jotting down a few things for yourself before your reading. You will not send this information to me or share it with me beforehand. It is simply there to help you prepare and to reference during our time together.
You may want to write down:
The names of loved ones who have passed, along with meaningful dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, or dates of passing, and their cause of passing if you know it.
Important dates, names, places, or events that may be helpful for you to remember.
Questions you hope will be answered—whether they are questions for a loved one who has passed or questions about your own life, relationships, decisions, past, present, or future.
I suggest this because readings can sometimes be surprisingly emotional or even a little overwhelming. I jokingly call what can happen “psychic amnesia.” Something meaningful comes through and suddenly a name, date, place, or memory you normally know instantly seems to disappear from your mind. Having a few notes nearby can help you stay grounded and recognize connections as they unfold.
Record your reADING
I do not record readings; however, you are more than welcome to record your session, and in fact, I encourage you to do so. A lot of information can come through during a reading, and it can be helpful to listen again later when you’ve had time to process everything.
If you would like a recording, please come prepared with whatever technology or device you’ll need to record your session.
With those few preparations in place, the rest is simply about being present and open for whatever our time together may bring.
My intention is to create a peaceful, compassionate space where you can receive whatever connection, insight, comfort, or guidance meant for you.
Until we connect, may you be surrounded by peace, light, and love.
what to expect.
We’ll begin our time together with a brief energy-clearing exercise that I will guide you through. There’s nothing you need to know or prepare for—just find a quiet, comfortable place where you can relax, be present, and hopefully be free from interruptions. This gives us a moment to settle in, clear away some of the noise of the day, and create an open space for our reading.
From there, I’ll begin channeling. For at least the first half of our scheduled time—and often longer—I’ll focus on the messages, impressions, connections, and guidance that come through. I generally have my eyes closed during this part of the reading so I can quiet outside distractions and focus completely on what I’m receiving from Spirit and guides, including loved ones who may come through.
I encourage you to allow this part of the reading to unfold naturally. You don’t need to tell me what you’re hoping to hear or provide me with background information beforehand. As things come through, you’re welcome to respond, validate what resonates, or let me know if something doesn’t immediately make sense. Sometimes a message will make perfect sense in the moment, while other things may become clearer after you’ve had time to reflect.
After I’ve channeled for a while, I’ll turn the reading over to you. This is when I’ll ask what questions you have and whether there was anything you were hoping we would touch on that hasn’t come through yet.
That’s the perfect time to glance at the list you prepared before your reading. You may find that many of your questions have already been answered without you ever having to ask them. You can check those off and use our remaining time to explore anything that is still on your mind—whether it’s a question for a loved one who has passed or something about your life, past, present, or future.
There is no need to worry about remembering everything or asking the “right” questions. This is your time. My role is to create a loving, open space for whatever messages and guidance come through and to give you time to ask about what matters most to you.
Every reading unfolds differently, and that is part of what makes each one so personal. Come as you are, with an open mind and heart, and allow the experience to unfold in whatever way it is meant to for you.
May the messages that find you bring clarity, connection, comfort, and light.
